How Much Notice

Wedding cakes should be booked as early in advance as possible with minimum notice of 2 months prior to your wedding date.  However short notice bookings can be accepted depending on the choice of the cake and if the date is available.

Consultations

Consultations to discuss your desires regarding your celebration cake can be arranged and held via telephone / video call or email. As we design custom cakes any materials that could serve as inspiration to the design such as your colour swatches, pictures of your gown and attributes of your theme should be emailed. Once a design has been agreed on, a final quote for your cake will be sent to you. If you would like to taste our cakes we provide taster boxes which can be posted to you for £25 pounds. If you wish to go ahead and place an order this amount will be deducted from the total cost of your cake.

Delivery

Delivery within five miles of our premises is free and beyond that is calculated on a charge of 60p per mile round trip.

Best Before

Sponges must be consumed within 5 days from the day of collection as stated on your order form. It is recommended that fruit cake is consumed within 2 months from day of collection as stated on your order form.

If fruit cakes are to be kept long term for a future celebration it is recommended that sugar paste, marzipan and cake boards are removed. The fruit cake should then be wrapped in two layers of greaseproof paper and frozen until need. Once thawed the fruit cake can then be re-coated.

Fruit cakes must not be stored in tin foil as this will cause a reaction that will make the cake inedible.

Storage

Cakes must be stored at room temperature in a cardboard cake box away from direct heat or sunlight.

Cakes must not be stored in an airtight container nor must they be stored in a fridge or outbuilding.

Returns

If you are unsatisfied with your cake please return it to us within 48 hours from collection.

Payments

A minimum of 50% deposit is accepted to confirm booking. 

Wedding cakes must be paid in full before work commences. This should be 2-3 weeks before delivery or collection.Payment can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer.
